Korean Wild Orchids (2005) Sadly, Korean plant resources are losing ground in the fast moving modern society. Wild orchids, which are believed to be one of the most evolved flowers, do not survive for many years after planting outside. They used to be referred to as fleeing flowers. The communal relationship between the orchid roots and parasites has not been fully discovered by modern science. Maintaining the environment in which wild orchids can survive is very important. I hope that the Eleventh Photography Calendar with the theme of Korean wild orchids will support our interest and movement to manage our environment for wild orchids. |
